Bosphorus: Moments Before Sunrise

On a September morning, just before sunrise, I decided to take my bike out for an early ride along the Bosphorus. There’s something magical about the city at that hour – the calm before the day fully awakens, with only the soft light of dawn creeping behind the hills. As I pedaled along the familiar route, the Bosphorus was especially beautiful, bathed in a delicate mix of pre-dawn blues and subtle golden hues. I couldn’t resist stopping to capture a few photos, trying to freeze the moment’s serene beauty before the day’s hustle began.

The Bosphorus, just before sunrise, as the first rays of sunlight reflect off the clouds, casting a gentle glow over the water. Across the strait, Beykoz on the Anatolian side rests peacefully. The scene captures a moment of quiet beauty before the city fully awakens.

Looking north toward where the Bosphorus meets the Black Sea, the 3rd Bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge) gracefully spans the horizon in the distance. The calm waters of the strait reflect the soft, early morning light, while the sky slowly brightens.
