On Saturday, May 18, 2024, I set out on my bike from Bahçeköy with my friends, intending to cycle through the Belgrade Forest towards Göktürk. While passing through the Belgrade Forest, I saw a huge male deer on the right, near the fence (inside the fence). It was lying down near the fence, resting and watching the road.
I stopped to take a picture, hesitant to scare it, but it didn’t get scared at all. It allowed me to approach very closely. I had seen many deer in the Belgrade Forest before, but they usually don’t come close to people, so you can only see them from a distance. This was the first time I had seen such a big deer up close. It was a beautiful and special moment for me.
